State Development & Investment Corporation (SDIC) was established in May 1995 and is one of the largest state-owned investment holding companies in China. The firm focuses on growth opportunities. The firm's subsidiaries operate across a large spectrum of industries, including power, mining, shipping, high-tech, financial services, big data, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, food, rail transport, electronics, software, telecoms, materials, consumer services, travel, asset management, and consulting services. SDIC raised its first private equity fund through SDIC Capital Management in 2009. In Q3 2014, SDIC was no longer fundraising. The firm fund management activities were handled by its subsidiaries, such as SDIC Fund Management.
